The 4th District Belongs to the People, not the Kennedys

Sean BielatThis will be one of the most watched Congressional races in the country this year.

In 2010, the Kennedy family tried to claim that Senator Scott Brown’s seat belonged to them. That didn’t sit well with voters. They went to the polls and declared that it was “the people’s seat.”

Now, the same family is trying to do the same thing with Joe Kennedy III by claiming the Fourth District in the US Congress as his.

Joe Kennedy is determined to revitalize the Kennedy dynasty. To do so, he’s using every family connection, their political clout, and vast fortune. He’s received millions of dollars from out-of-state donors, special interests, and his extensive political network.

The outcome of this race will determine whether true citizen legislators will have a voice in American politics, or if the elite political class can still determine elections. Between the national security issues emerging in the Middle East and the sluggish economy, shouldn’t we send someone to Washington with the experience and knowledge to deal with these problems?

People are scared and cautious right now. They want solutions and leadership, not entitlement and greed. With $16 trillion in debt, ObamaCare still intact, and a toxic business climate, voters are turning away from the extremist philosophy of bigger, more intrusive government that Joe Kennedy represents. If Washington is ever going to reflect a business mindset, this is the year to make those changes.

People in Massachusetts are rejecting the Big Brother philosophy that says governmentSean Bielat and Hopkinton Voter knows best and should dictate how you and I live. Obama, Kennedy, and their friends may think we belong to the government, but we know that’s not true. We’re individuals with the freedom to do as we choose. We don’t need government to tell us what’s best!

As a Major in the US Marine Corps Reserves, I believe in a legislator’s commitment to protect our freedom and liberty. As a businessman, I understand that America’s $16 trillion debt is going to destroy this country unless we act now. More importantly, I understand that after four years of failed stimulus, crony capitalism, and job killing regulations, America is at a tipping point.

It’s time to elect leaders who’ll roll up their sleeves and make the tough decisions. As a middle class American, I’ve experienced many of the same struggles that most families face. I can promise you that I’m prepared to lead this country and get it back on its feet.

In a time of a bad economy and threats in the Middle East, do you trust a Marine with extensive business and national security experience, or do you trust a young lawyer who has only worked for a few years?
